As the research has progressed, it has been possible to establish different theories, risk factors, and prevention and intervention programs. The present work tries to establish the relation between the different familiar factors of risk and protection with the behavior of the bully (bully) of Zone 7 of Ecuador. It is intended to perform a non-experimental type of quantitative study; Whose design is of transversal type applying four instruments to detect the exposure to violence, locate bullies, establish the presence of support networks and family functionality to 960 adolescents who study the 1st. , 2nd. And 3rd. Year of baccalaureate of Zone 7 of Ecuador, comprised by the Provinces of El Oro, Loja and Zamora Chinchipe. Bullies vary in prevalence being more frequent in males. In addition a significant relationship is established regarding the exposure to intrafamily violence and being a spectator of violence transmitted by television. The family functionality has its influence on the relationship with the development of the phenomenon that is only explained in the case of men. The socioeconomic factor influences the development of the bullying phenomenon at higher stratum frequencies of adolescent’s bullyings.

Conforme ha avanzado las investigaciones se ha podido establecer diferentes teorías, factores de riesgo, y programas de prevención e intervención. El presente trabajo pretende establecer la relación entre los diferentes factores familiares de riesgo y protección con el comportamiento del bully (bravucón) de la Zona 7 del Ecuador. Se pretende realizar un tipo de estudio cuantitativo no experimental; cuyo diseño es de tipo transversal aplicando cuatro instrumentos para detectar la exposición a violencia, localizar bullies, establecer la presencia de redes de apoyo y funcionalidad familiar a 960 adolescentes que cursan el 1ero, 2do y 3er año de bachillerato de la Zona 7 del Ecuador, comprendido por las Provincias de El Oro, Loja y Zamora Chinchipe. Los bullies varían en la prevalencia siendo más frecuente en el sexo masculino. Además se establece una relación significativa en cuanto a la exposición a la violencia intrafamiliar y ser espectador de violencia transmitida por televisión. La funcionalidad familiar tiene su influencia en la relación con el desarrollo del fenómeno que solo es explicada en el caso de los hombres. El factor socioeconómico influye en el desarrollo del fenómeno bullying a mayor estrato mayor frecuencia de adolescentes bullys.
