Materials and Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study 72 HIV/AIDS patient’s adherent (19 F and 53 M) aged 20-65. Data were collected through the data sheet designed by the researcher, VGS nutritional status and anthropometric measurements were taken (BMI, TS, BC and CW) as well as biochemical (Hb, albumin, serum iron, full lipid profile). For the statistic treatment of the data, it was used the SPSS version 20 and a p value lower than <0.05. Results: 52.8% of HIV/AIDS patients show normal BMI, 40.3% overweight and 6.9% obesity. The triceps skinfold is among the p10-p75 and p5 brachial circumference (62.1%). The CW is increased by 23.6% female while 45.8% is normal in men. Hemoglobin is normal in 26.3% female and 68.1% male. Albumin is normal in 88.9%. The normal serum iron is 23.6% female and 51.4% male. Total cholesterol is high at 40.3%, triglycerides by 44.4% and 47.2% decrease in LDL cholesterol, while HDL cholesterol is high in 52.8% of men and in 18.1% women. The CVD is low at 87.3% (Scale Framighan). Conclusions: It was found that the HAART adherence does not affect the nutritional or lipid status, since most patients have normal weight with reduction of protein compartment fat and compartment fat preservation. Most patients show to low cardiovascular risk, although some patients have isolated hypertriglyceridemia. Keywords: HIV / AIDS, adherence, HAART, nutrition, lipids
