| Sumario: | Despite the terrible consequences that the implementation and development of the political-economic-social model of neoliberalism has had over four decades, it is still present in the vast majority of countries in the world. This article explores some of the causes of its persistence, and looks for the capacity that neoliberalism has had to become the hegemonic ideology, building a common sense that naturalizes and legitimizes its fundamental principles. Hence the thesis that neoliberalism is implanted «from above» but also «from below» and that a struggle to break the structural frameworks generated by the hegemony of neoliberalism is necessary. |
