Sumario:The popular and solidarity financial sector at the end of 2022 registered a 28% participation in the financial market, its total assets reached USD 24,955 million, and the main asset account was the credit portfolio that represented 68%, to maintain this participation quota entities must generate value proposals in the granting of credits such as innovation and process automation, a subject of study where the problem consists of how to reduce unproductive activities and improve the process of granting microcredits in Cooperativa ¨Ambato¨ Ltda.?. Faced with this question, the objective is to strengthen the processes of granting microcredits to minimize unproductive activities. The design part of the research methodology is Non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive, the research was of a mixed type with quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The techniques and instruments to generate the diagnosis were surveys and interviews; for the analysis and validation of data, descriptive statistics were applied. The results as of October 2022 determined an expectation of clients to obtain a credit of 48 hours, however, when it took it ranged between 2 and 6 days, mandatory savings limit access to credit and officials determined the duration of the microcredit process in 20.17 working hours. The proposal that includes strategies to improve the main limitations determines 8.25 hours of the process, the result of the implementation of financial software, the application of a value-added tool and part of the automation of the process.
