Resumo:The present research work: Desing and implementation of a Loading and unloading mechanical system in the distribution area in the Moderna Alimentos S.A enterprise. In order to reduce the ergonomic risks, it was performed an analysis of the before and after the survey application to determine the worker´s perception about the equipment. It was established a cause-effect effective diagnosis of the discomfort caused by lifting more than 23 kg, A baseline research is established through the application of the risk matrix, specifically for the ergonomic area to establish the sub-standard risk actions and conditions present in this place. Then, measurements of noise, temperature and lighting were performed to establish them under the parameters in the law; if not, it is needed to establish preventive measures in the workplace to generate an adequate working environment. A survey was conducted to determine conditions before and after implementation of the mechanical loading and unloading system in the stowage process in the production area. It was performed to minimize the load handling limit established in the standard – 23kg- and to reduce the skeletal muscles discomfort. Photos and conditions assessments were analyzed using the NIOSH method and according to the risk factor determined in order to set improvements in the present research work by comparing angles that mark the positions of the stowage activity in the production area. It means that each neck inclination degree is equivalent to 5 kg of weight on it. In conclusion, the excessive weight of sacks in the loading and unloading area of the Moderna Alimentos S.A caused lumbar discomfort in the stowage personnel promoting twisting of trunk, neck, wrists and upper and lower extremities; as well lifting loads above of 23 kg, which causes musculoskeletal discomfort affecting the worker and his employer. So, by implementing the mechanical loading and unloading system the risk factors to which the worker was exposed have been minimized in order to adapt his work to what the current norm establishes.
