Sumario:Cellulite is an alteration of the surface of the skin that occurs in women of any age , especially after adolescence ; the occurrence of this involves several factors: genetic , vascular , nutritional , endocrine and psychological . A classic ingredients proven to combat the effects of cellulite , they are incorporating new assets with new mechanism of action as triggers lipolysis or lipolytic which include plant extracts thereof containing varying concentrations of caffeine. It is therefore interesting to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a product in the formulation contains guayusa leaf extract fluid for use as anti-cellulite because it contains appreciable amounts of caffeine, which makes it a natural raw material. The fluid extract guayusa with alcohol at a concentration of 50% v / v was obtained , a cosmetic gel with 4 % content of the extract is made ​​, we proceeded to perform quality control extract and cosmetic formulation and as their stability testing. Finally the product's effectiveness was evaluated in healthy women aged between 30 and 50 years who had cellulite in areas of abdomen, lower legs and buttocks , for a period of three consecutive months. Two study groups were separated in the first, were the panelists control and the other was the treatment group
