| Summary: | The Lakes Corridor is a tourist circuit with remarkable value for the province of Neuquen, Patagonia Argentina. In the Corridor, many conflicts take place, which shows the economic and political value enclosing the territory, traditionally inhabited by the Mapuche People/Nation. In this paper, we analyze and reflect the disputes that occur in two communities: Plácido Puel and Paicil Antriao. Both communities are located in territories coveted by national, international and the state interests. Our focus will be placed on the participation of Mapuche women in times of conflict. To do so, we will use information collected during field work and the bibliographic material researched along the process of theoretical inquiry. Finally, it is pertinent to note that this article summarizes some of the research developed as part of my PhD thesis. |
