Sumario:This paper reviews the understanding of the term competence in Higher Education and focuses the analysis on the graduates our America and the Cuban Social Project need as citizens. The purpose of this paper is to shades light on the construct of civic attitude from a complex anthropo-social analysis to improve its pedagogical appreciation, so as to understand the term as a strategic competence in the citizen personality of graduates. It also shows us the anthropo-social notion of the citizen-professional, that crystalizes in our academic classrooms. That is our pedagogical challenge. On this purpose, from the complexity and exploratory-correlational discourse, the paper gives a new comprehension of the zones: be able to be, be able to be in; and be able to do; as a dynamical totality, inviting us to think the Cuban pedagogical task over at the academic classrooms.
