Sumario:In the present study the contribution of public institutions in strengthening the popular and solidarity economy in Ecuador is analyzed. In this sense, the Constitution of 2008 is a milestone in the country's history, as expressed by the regime of Good Living/Sumak Kawsay and a supportive economic and social system your choice; the assumption of this new economic, cultural, political and social paradigm shifts the idea of "progress-development". These theories, social structures, configuration state, etc. that since 2008 are under construction, have the essential purpose of decolonizing knowledge that feed on a traditional view of development in the ciudadnía. Along these public organizational structure, created from the regulatory role of the state, and the perceptions of some of the actors in the social economy are explored regarding intervention and incidence of such entities in implementing policies described public for this sector of the economy.
