This memory (re) constructs life and death, and takes a step towards understanding what death means and represents.En “Viaje a la semilla”, Alejo Carpentier trata de mostrar de maneras variadas lo que significa la vida, o la muerte, a nivel personal y nacional. Este artículo intenta analizar y explorar la muerte incesante y polisémica a través de la casa, un espacio privado-público en donde los sujetos de varios tiempos y espacios coexisten. Al mismo tiempo, para poder entender esta muerte, es indispensable analizar el tiempo, que no puede prescindir de la memoria, ya que el pasado y el presente coexisten en la memoria.
