Resumo:The present degree work is entitled Pedagogical strategies for the development of selfesteem in students with dysphemia of basic general education, which was conducted at the School of Basic Fiscal Education Carlos Luis Plaza, context in which the problem that exists within the classroom with the child who has dysphemia is being developed, generating feelings of anguish, sadness, discouragement, pain and other discomforts, which produces low selfesteem; The techniques used for data collection were the interview and the survey, while the instruments were the Piers-Harris self-concept scale and an interview guide developed to apply to the teachers who teach the student with the speech disorder; Among the results it is evident that the child has low self-esteem, and on the teachers' side, they do not feel prepared to work with these problems, even more when there is little instruction at the institutional level, to solve the problem a proposal is made whose objective is to improve the appreciation of emotions and their understanding for greater socioemotional growth and transcend in a positive way in the management of social skills; The study concludes that the theory regarding the correlation of the variables is limited; likewise, dysphemia does generate low self-esteem in children and there is little teaching experience with this disorder.
