| Sumario: | The purpose of this article is to analyze femicide in the State of Mexico as a continuum of violence against women, a process that concludes in what is now typified as the crime of femicide. To this end, this article is structured in 4 sections. The first contains the theoretical and contextual references of femicide; then the typologies of femicide derived from research in Mexico are referred to; subsequently, some available public sources of information are analyzed to reconstruct the data on femicide; finally, the conclusions of the study are presented, highlighting that femicide is the last ultimate of violence against a woman, which is surely preceded by events and experiences of emotional, physical, sexual, psychological, economic and patrimonial violence. |
