| Sumario: | Research reveals several stories of abuse committed on children, since ancient times, in Latin America and the Caribbean, at least 6 million girls / girls and adolescents are under attack, and 80,000 die annually from the violence inside the family. The stated goal in this research was: To investigate the incidence of domestic violence and its relationship with the school performance of children in early childhood education in the Education Unit Eugenio Espejo academic year 2014 - 2015, through a bibliographic and field study. The research was quantitative, descriptive, the sample were 32 children. Families test validated by Dr. Psi applied. Vilma Ramos. Master in Systemic Family Therapy, an instrument that allowed us to determine the presence or absence of domestic violence other form was validated and then interpreted by the psychologist Herna Schuldt Technical Council for Protection of Rights of the canton Babahoyo to identify causes and consequences of abuse in children. Data collection was conducted in the period June - October 2014 and tabulation was performed using Excel in the months immediately after. The results show: 100% of children studied suffered any of the types of abuse described in the document; the most common forms are: lack of communication of the parents; strong hair; neglect of personal hygiene of children / as the screams to give orders, neglect the neighborhood environment and a small percentage of children / as they are handled, touched or fondled her private parts without authorization, the scope of the abuse is linked to internal and extended family. This cruel paradox as perpetrated by the family acts is the nucleus of society directly affect the behavior of school children in the educational unit Eugenio Espejo (El Mamey) Canton Babahoyo.
