Resumo:Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are impairments suffered bodily structures such as muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, nerves, bones and circulatory system, caused or aggravated primarily by work and the effects of the environment in which it develops. In this study, we hypothesized if working conditions that generate ergonomic risk factor affecting the musculoskeletal disorders in workers in the floriculture company Inorflowers Quito. Aiming at the identification and assessment of ergonomic risk. The sample for this study was represented by 27 workers. Data were obtained through the application of a survey, review of medical records and labor OWAS Method and RULA, recognized methods for evaluating stress positions. The results showed that awkward postures are related to the discomfort level presenting musculoskeletal system as shoulders with 33%, 48% and thoracolumbar hands or wrists 67% of the study population. The result after the application was OWAS and RULA 4-7 positions with the possibility of damage to musculoskeletal system level and the need to redesign tasks. the development of a plan of control measures are proposed as study proposal to reduce ergonomic risk directed at the control and early diagnosis of the signs and symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders in workers
