| Sumario: | The present research project was carried out in the parish Yangana of the Canton and Loja province, through the collaboration and participation of the community failed to construct the proposed intervention program community that facilitates the use of the tourist potential, community self-development approach. The methodology for the development of the work used some methods of research, both from the theoretical level and empirical level, such as: descriptive, analytic–synthetic, inductive and deductive, the hypothetical-deductive; informal interview, participant observation, documentary studies, survey, interview in depth or qualitative, focal group discussion, reflective group, and the triangulation of methods and sources, as well as also the methodology of community self-development, which consists of five stages, by the characteristics of the object of study of this project was compliance with the first three stages; the direct participation of the community to exist during the development of each of them, is ensuring that this project will have sustainability in time, since it arises from the need and the community feel. Construction of this investigative work allowed the community for the first time, express their needs, problems and wishes, and be part of the development of the proposal to provide solutions to this problem, clearly identifying its causes which originated it, and the benefits that would result with the implementation of this proposal. The causes that originated not exploiting the tourist potential in the Yangana parish, according to the information provided by the community would be: lack of knowledge, lack of external support and the lack of organization, making them dependent on agricultural activities, despite the low cost of the product, which do not allow to repay the effort invested. Elements that served as the basis for the construction of the proposal for a programme of Community action that facilitates the best use of the tourist potential in the Yangana parish, the canton of Loja province, since the beginning of the community self-development; and thus achieve community a critical awareness and their emancipation, since the implementation of this project the parish Yangana will have with sources of work, community building, community development and the improvement of the quality of life of its inhabitants. |
