Sumario:Through time, mediation is getting importance for the solution of conflicts. In fact, many of the world legislations place it, not only as an alternative method, but as a mandatory method to which citizens must resort prior to the beginning of a judicial process. It is logical, since, by solving a conflict extra judicially, the administration of justice does not collapse, due to the fact that procedures are stated but not promoted and time is lost in courts. Because of that, it is necessary to establish what mediation, including its history and concepts is. In that order, it is relevant to recognize and study the conflict, what its stages are and why it originates.
