Descripción
Sumario:The article analyzes, in the light of empirical evidence, the hypothesis about what is the present political situation, which in effect criticizes, but does not mark out a turn towards the left, but the culmination of a long period of political change in the Andes. Taking as its main point the Andean electoral landscape of 2006, the author classifies the countries of the region in two groups: those in which the process of change has culminated, producing new Venezuela and Colombia, and a second group of countries in which the process of change is still in progress: Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.
