| Sumario: | The purpose of this research is to examine the application of public procurement procedures in three District Health Directorates of the Province of Manabí - Ecuador. This work with a mixed approach will use the data triangulation technique, interviews will be carried out with experts on the subject, surveys of personnel working in the purchasing area and a review of the documentation provided by the Health Districts taken for the study. will analyze the information obtained and will be the inputs that determine the critical factors in the public contracting processes of these three District Health Directorates, the information collected will be the basis for designing a proposal to improve the current management model of the District Health Directorates of the province and will also allow the improvement of compliance indicators in relation to public procurement processes. The first chapter highlights the importance of the Topic, the contribution to the institution, the content of the research and the scope of the present work.
