| Sumario: | Psychological evaluation constitutes one of the most complete research instruments and important, because it allows the collection of data and useful information for various purposes, in any population and context. In this paper, the main characteristics of psychological evaluation in the prison population, such as the concepts relevant, the models, the methods of psychological evaluation, the study variables and the levels of inference, among others. For this purpose, twelve sections have been prepared that develop, in an organized way, the subject of study, based on the literature on prison psychology as one of the main areas of Legal Psychology. For one better understanding of the contents, it is necessary to consider the individual aspects, social, cultural and contextual factors that make up the reality of the person deprived of liberty. |
