Sumario:More and more countries are involved in the phenomenon of Globalization, which covers various fields: economic, political, cultural and technological. In this new stage emerges the figure of the People's Republic of China (PRC) as the protagonist of the economic reality with a track record over recent years, now reaching the second position in the world’seconomicpower.This article analyzes the trend of chinese investment in Latin America and the Caribbean in the period of 2000-2014, focusing later on Ecuador with the study of projects carried out by Chinese companies in large infrastructure projects. In this context, the characteristics of these projects and the scope of contributions that are helping the growth and development of the involved sectors will be presented.
