Description
Summary:The general objective of this research was to design cooperative learning strategies focused on oral expression in students taking the subject of history in the technical high school of the Alberto Enriquez Educational Unit in the canton of Antonio Ante, using a descriptive and explanatory methodology, A descriptive, explanatory, documentary methodology with a quantitative approach was used, whose object of research were the 93 students belonging to the technical specialties of accounting, computer science and industry, who were given a structured questionnaire, while the three teachers who teach the subject of history were interviewed according to the existing problems. The results obtained show that there is a low level of oral expression in the classroom, students do not participate in class hours, limiting teacher-student interaction and vice versa, it is necessary that teachers use methodologies, tools and pedagogical strategies based on cooperative learning. Therefore, for the proposal we worked with the cooperative learning model proposed by Johnson, et. al. (1999), whose approach is based on five axes: positive interdependence, personal face-to-face interaction, individual and group responsibility, interpersonal skills and social skills and frequent self-evaluation of the group's performance, which will improve oral expression through teamwork, which influences in generating confidence so that their expressions have the responsibility based on the knowledge acquired.
