Sumario:ABSTRACT The research entitled "Ancestral values in an intercultural relationship, children from third to seventh EGB of the Manuel Rivadeneira Educational Unit, Guaranda, Bolívar" seeks to delve into the socio-cultural situation of the educational center to identify the strengths and limitations regarding the practice of the ancestral values and intercultural relationship of its students. Within the methodology, a mixed approach was applied, of non-experimental design, requiring documentary and field bibliographic review processes under inductive and deductive theoretical methods. Several techniques were used, such as observation, interview, and survey, whose application determined that children have problems in all values and cultural norms evaluated (except punctuality) and that approximately 30% of them require improvement in their intercultural practice. This is due, among other causes, to the fact that children do not have as active participation as their parents in the intercultural activities developed within the school, being necessary to generate a guide that contributes to the formation of their intercultural values within the school. The proposed "Guide for training in intercultural values" contains a total of nine activities to be carried out and evaluated from the classroom, with constant support from the community and parents. The guide's contents were promoted through community workshops, being positively evaluated by the parents and teachers of the educational center. The results of its pilot implementation in predisposition, participation, understanding, and impact were favorable. Keywords: traditional values, intercultural relationship, a guide for training in intercultural values. Reviewed by: Mgs. Sonia Granizo Lara. English professor. c.c. 0602088890
