Sumario:In this article, we review the Keynesian theory base in order to explain the macroeconomic decisions taken by the national government as of 2007, regarding the strong institutional figure in economic activity in Ecuador. As a dominant paradigm in past centuries, Keynesianism has been the economic model adopted to combat the different crises of nations, which are asserted from, time to time that are the result of the liberal current that reduces to a minimum the size of the state. Against this, governments justify their intervention in order to try to reduce the redistributive inequities that claim to be produced by liberal orthodoxy that is accentuated from time to time.
