Descripción
Sumario:Abstract: This paper seeks to establish the dynamics of the territorial conflict in the localities of Huillinco and Rucañanco between 1979 and 2014, based on the analysis of four interest groups, Mapuche community members, small and medium landowners, and forestry companies, crossing the variables of ethnic identity and reproduction of production conditions. We found that each of these groups organized to increase their access to land tenure, pressured by forestry expansion. As a strategy, the Mapuche community Juana Millahual articulated a process of re-ethnification and territorial recovery that collectivized property and work. This project of the community changed the social relations of production with other groups in the localities, to the point of prefiguring an alternative development model to forestry.
