Sumario:Currently, an important body of theory has been develop around the study of entrepreneurship. However, few studies have focused on the relationship between entrepreneurship and cognitive and psychological aspects. Specifically, in students, who once they graduate and obtain their university/third degree, must make a decision involving the search for a job as an employee or the choice of creating an entrepreneurial venture. In this sense, this study analyzed the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Entrepreneurial Intention in students of the Institute Yavirac. This research was develop under a Quantitative Approach, of correlational scope and following a Non-Experimental and cross-sectional research design. Consistent with the quantitative research approach, the Emotional Intelligence Test, elaborated by Schutte, was applied to evaluate the Emotional Intelligence variable and the Liñán and Chen Questionnaire to evaluate the Entrepreneurial Intention variable. The multivariate statistical technique "Principal Component Analysis" was select for data analysis. This allowed the creation of new factors or dimensions, which made it possible to establish the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Entrepreneurial Intention.
