Sumario:This article aims to analyze the existing links between the central government and local governments within the framework of Argentine federalism, also considering the role that the provincial instance would play in this emerging relationship. It is part of the studies on the evolution of intergovernmental relations (IGR) considering the reconfiguration of the functional border between levels of government that has occurred in recent decades. The work methodology is part of the so-called prospective studies. Thus, it reflects on the possible future scenarios of the IGR, based on in-depth interviews and surveys of municipal and provincial officials.
