Sumario:This research investigates the use of the media with presence in digital environments as credible sources of information. It is intended to show what kind of platforms the Ecuadorians use to inform themselves, as well as to measure the level of concern about the credibility of the contents they consume and experiences with the fake news. We used the quantitative methodology with the application of a questionnaire to a non-probabilistic sample conformed by 384 people. Among the results are the main social networks used to inform themselves and where they appear, to a greater extent, the false news.
