| Sumario: | As a result of the study carried out within the present work, it is established that, between man and the environment, there is a dependency relationship, largely determined in the culture of life of each person and their environment, which is related to factors that they require a harmonious coexistence for the correct development of both beings within their environment. Therefore, within the research, it has been taken into account to conceptualize the general problem of "effects of single-use plastic on the environment" and derivatives, as well as to substantiate through legal regulations the limitation, participation of the subjects within this , in order to establish what are the duties and responsibilities that are executed for the fulfillment of the same regarding environmental issues as the case mentioned above. On the other hand, a "statistical population studies based on surveys and interviews" were carried out, which allowed us to obtain useful information to analyze the effects of single-use plastic within the study population, which helped to establish the purpose of the proposal raises within this research, about the issuance of an ordinance that allows promoting environmental projects within the Quevedo canton that help reduce the impact of single-use plastic within its territory, to improve the quality of life of citizens and preserve their link with the natural that makes up the environment and which is subject to law within the legal system.
