Sumario:The under graduation profile and the curriculum map of college careers must be evaluated and updated periodically according to the social, economical and political needs of society. In these last years Ecuador is suffering many changes and within this context it is essential to know if college undergraduates have the competencies to work in a competitive market and to respond to the National Development Plan to launch the new Productive Matrix which are the biggest national objectives. A documentary analysis is carried out about the curricular design, graduation profile, and productive matrix of the career of Agronomical Engineering of Cotopaxi Technical University. It is mentioned the legal basis, hypothesis, variables and concept definitions. This study corresponds to the modality of feasible project, in other words, it is based on the bibliography investigation, field work and a proposal of intervention. The investigation was carried out by students of the last cycles, graduates and teachers of the career as well as employers and it has as objectives: to Evaluate the graduate profile and to re-design the curricular map of the career of Agronomical Engineering according to the current socio economical and political surrounding in Ecuador from which the variables and hypothesis are detached. The outcomes of the study were used as main supply to re-design the curricular map.
