This analysis is done by contrasting 1700 vocalizations from a sample of 85 participants, with audio recordings of native English speakers who specialize in teaching English, and the pronunciation dictionary published by Cambridge. When the errors are presented, didactic proposals are suggested to improve the pronunciation of the aforementioned vowel sounds. It is concluded that the most frequent type of error is vowel substitution.El propósito de este estudio es determinar las dificultades que presentan los aprendices de Inglés como Lengua Extranjera al pronunciar los sonidos vocálicos /?/, /?/, /?/, /?/. Este análisis se lo hace al contrastar 1700 vocalizaciones de una muestra de 85 participantes, con grabaciones de audio realizadas por hablantes nativos, especializados en la enseñanza de Inglés como Lengua Extranjera y el diccionario de pronunciación Cambridge. Al presentarse los errores se sugieren propuestas didácticas para mejorar la pronunciación de los sonidos vocálicos antes mencionados.
