| Sumario: | Microcredit has become very important in Ecuador, with private and public financial institutions providing these financing tools. The same as the microenterprise sector, that is to say, the sector of people who work without a dependency relationship and have small businesses, with limited capital, where their place of work can be the street or their home. By analyzing the impact generated by the microcredits granted by the "San Sebastián" Savings and Credit Cooperative, the aim is to provide true information on the impact generated on its members through this type of credit and to highlight the importance of the popular and solidarity economy in order to contribute to cooperative and organizational development. The contribution of this cooperative sector to society is fundamental since it satisfies the needs of excluded sectors and generates better living conditions for all participants, diminishes the state's responsibility since people are empowered for their economic and social well-being and also supports the organization for community welfare purposes and decreases the gap between social strata. |
