The research methodology was a qualitative and quantitative approach, descriptive with an application scope, the population under study on the one hand are the 8 workers and on the other the client portfolio that corresponds to 81 establishments according to the company's database, from which a sample with an error of 5% and a confidence level of 95% was obtained, corresponding to 67 businesses between bakeries, shops, cafeterias and market stalls. In his diagnosis, the absence of planning, organization, direction and control in the medium and long term, little publicity and promotion, weak training, artisanal production and duplication of functions, in addition to the economic crisis due to Covid-19 and competition, were detected. Advantageously, the company has experience in cheese production and up-to-date operating permits and regulations. To contrast the information, a plan was designed with seven perspective strategies: financial, customers, internal processes, growth and learning, and the environment.El presente proyecto de investigación tuvo como objetivo el diseño un modelo de planificación estratégica que apoye a la gestión administrativa en la industria Prolácteos del cantón Latacunga, con el cual se identificó como la planificación estratégica contribuye en la gestión administrativa del negocio. La metodología de investigación fue de enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo con alcance aplicativo, la población objeto estudio por una parte son los 8 trabajadores y por otra la cartera de clientes que corresponde a 81 establecimientos según la base de datos de la empresa, de la cual se obtuvo una muestra con error del 5% y nivel de confianza del 95% que corresponde a de 67 negocios entre panaderías, tiendas, cafeterías y puestos del mercado. En su diagnóstico se detectó la ausencia de planificación, organización, dirección y control a mediano y largo plazo, escasa publicidad y promoción, débil capacitación, producción artesanal y duplicidad de funciones, además de la crisis económica por el Covid-19 y la competencia. Ventajosamente la empresa tiene experiencia en elaboración del queso y los permisos y regulaciones de funcionamiento al día.
