Sumario:Objective: To show the possible support of the Internet on crime prevention in the constructivist context of governance. Theoretical framework: the theory of communitarian crime prevention is seen as a synthesis of social, situational and environmental prevention. The effects of crime statistics, coming from community prevention, suggests that action programs. Consequently the communitarian prevention is necessarily associated to governance and the interaction required by governance, between authorities and citizens, is transversal. Framework of reference: the Mexican National Digital Strategy that visualizes prevention help cyber social networks and electronic platforms. Method and case: qualitative analysis of ICT uses in crime prevention in the cases the urban area of Monterrey, Mexico.
