The Freemasons studied belonged to the economic, political, military and intellectual elite, not only Guatemalan, but also Central American. They were linked to the state apparatus of their respective countries, since most of them were military, civil servants and lawyers.Este artículo estudia la conformación de una red masónica en Guatemala, su protagonismo político-económico en la configuración de la sociedad guatemalteca y los principales miembros centroamericanos inscritos en el Registro Masónico del Supremo Consejo Centro Americano entre la instauración de la revolución liberal de 1871 a la fundación de la Gran Logia de Guatemala en 1903. Los masones estudiados pertenecieron a la elite económica, política, militar e intelectual no solo guatemalteca, sino que también centroamericana.
