| Sumario: | This article analyzes the so-called Costa Rican science fiction in relation to the concept of novum developed by Darko Suvin. It is set up the Suvinian poetics as a referent for the analysis and construction of the genre of science fiction, as long as such approach allows the elaboration of a science fiction that comes together the empirical context of the writer and the possibilities hidden behind this context. Also, it is defined the science fiction as a critical literature, which in our current situation implies a critique of the postmodern nomocracy. In the same way, it is established that the so-called Costa Rican science fiction is not really science fiction. |
