description This paper has as its theme the process of economic restructuring of the territory of Rio de Janeiro and the territorialization of Chinese investments in the state of Rio de Janeiro in the first decades of the twenty-first century. The objectives of this article are to highlight the process of emergence of the People's Republic of China as an international investor, to identify the contribution of Chinese investments in Brazil and to analyze the territorialization of Chinese investments in the process of economic restructuring of the territory of Rio de Janeiro in the first decades of the twenty-first century. To this end, we adopted the qualitative-quantitative methodology. Thus, after the introduction, the first section presents the area of study, the time frame and the methodological framework, the second section highlights the quantitative aspects of Chinese foreign direct investments. In the third section, we identify the contribution of these investments in Brazil. In the fourth section, our analyses reach the territorialization of Chinese investments in the first decades of the twenty-first century.

Los objetivos de este artículo son destacar el proceso de emergencia de la República Popular China como inversor internacional, identificar la contribución de las inversiones chinas en Brasil y analizar la territorialización de las inversiones chinas en el proceso de reestructuración económica del territorio de Río de Janeiro en las primeras décadas del siglo XXI. Para ello, se adoptó la metodología cualitativa-cuantitativa. Así, después de la introducción, en la primera sección se presenta el área de estudio, el marco temporal y el marco metodológico, en la segunda sección se destacan los aspectos cuantitativos de las inversiones extranjeras directas chinas. En la tercera sección, identificamos la contribución de estas inversiones en Brasil. En la cuarta sección, nuestros análisis alcanzan la territorialización de las inversiones chinas en las primeras décadas del siglo XXI.Este trabalho tem como tema o processo de reestruturação econômica do território fluminense e a territorialização dos investimentos chineses no estado do Rio de Janeiro nas primeiras décadas do século XXI. Os objetivos que conduzem o artigo consistem em evidenciar o processo de emergência da República Popular da China à condição de investidor internacional, identificar o aporte dos investimentos chineses no Brasil e analisar a territorialização dos investimentos chineses no processo de reestruturação econômica do território fluminense nas primeiras décadas do século XXI.  Para tanto, adotamos a metodologia quali-quantitativa. Assim, após a introdução, a primeira apresenta a área de estudo, o recorte temporal e o marco metodológico, a segunda seção evidencia os aspectos quantitativos dos investimentos externos diretos chineses. Na terceira seção identificamos o aporte desses investimentos no Brasil.
