Finally, the writer explores the notion of group work and lists some recommendations to implement it in such a course. To illustrate the implementation of group work and reading comprehension, the writer includes a sample non-evaluated WebQuest carried out at the computer lab in groups of four students.Este artículo explora el efecto del trabajo grupal en un curso de estrategias de lectura en inglés para otras carreras en la Universidad de Costa Rica. La población meta es heterogénea y consiste en un grupo de treinta estudiantes quienes cursas diferentes carreras en la UCR. Para evaluar el efecto de implementar el trabajo grupal de manera constante a lo largo del curso y así incrementar la motivación entre los(as) estudiantes, el autor analizó los datos obtenidos por medio de tres instrumentos durante el semestre. Finalmente, el autor explorar la noción de trabajo grupal y proporciona una lista de recomendaciones.
