Sumario:This article aims to analyze the possibilities offered by the video game Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar Games, 2013) as a didactic resource for the teaching of road safety, taking into consideration the seventh grades programs of Costa Rican Education for Citizenship, with a view to promoting vial culture. In order to accomplish with this purpose, we start from principles such as video game theory and video game-based learning - pedagogy of digital games. Methodologically, an nearly is made from the interpretive paradigm, qualitative approach, content analysis technique and information of triangulation. It is considered whether the video game is capable of transmitting values and useful elements, or dynamics are identified in it for teaching vial safety-culture.
