The manuscript ends with a consideration of the different  models of political theology from which the political scopes of religious institutions or actors have been considered.El propósito de este texto es analizar los distintos modelos de investigación histórica que se han ocupado de estudiar las interacciones entre religión y política en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. El trabajo ofrece un recuento de la historiografía producida en los últimos treinta años, de modo que se puedan considerar sus posibilidades y limitaciones en la comprensión de lo religioso.
