Characteristics are established that allow differentiating the proemato from other genres and styles of literary writing, which supports the conclusion that it is a (hybrid) genre that comes from the combination of poetry, narrative and micronarrative, but at the same time distinguished from them.El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar y justificar el proemato como un género literario híbrido a partir de distintas posturas literarias, mediante el análisis y comparación de algunos textos poéticos y de narrativa breve con los proematos del escritor costarricense Jorhan Chaverri. Se establecen características que permiten diferenciar los proematos de otros géneros y estilos de escritura literaria, lo que sustenta la conclusión de que ese trata de un género (híbrido) que surge de la combinación entre la poesía, la narrativa y el microrrelato, pero a la vez se distingue de ellos.L'objectif de ce travail est de présenter et de justifier le proemato comme genre littéraire hybride basé sur différentes positions littéraires, à travers l'analyse et la comparaison de quelques textes poétiques et narratifs courts avec les proematos de l'écrivain costaricien Jorhan Chaverri. Des caractéristiques sont établies qui permettent de différencier les proemates des autres genres et styles d'écriture littéraire, ce qui conforte la conclusion qu'il s'agit d'un genre (hybride) né de la combinaison de la poésie, du récit et de la micro-histoire, mais qui se distingue à l'époque d'eux.Universidad de Costa Rica.
