The program has a presence of more than 15 years in external quality evaluations and has met the criteria and indicators established in the reference framework of the National Quality Postgraduate Program (PNPC) in Mexico. The methodology consisted of a comparative analysis of the information presented by the program regarding the study plan, the teaching staff and the students in terms of admission and graduation, in addition to the opinion of the graduates. The results show changes in the admission and graduation of students, in the assessment of competencies and in the terminal efficiency of the program. Self-evaluation is a necessary exercise to reflect on the quality of postgraduate programs and to establish improvement strategies that can be carried out by the actors, in a context where accreditation represents a challenge for educational programs offered educational institutions.El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar un análisis comparativo de los resultados de la autoevaluación de un programa de maestría de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (upn) para atender tres convocatorias del Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (Conacyt). El programa mencionado cuenta con una trayectoria de más de 15 años en evaluaciones externas de la calidad y ha cumplido los criterios e indicadores que establece el marco de referencia del Programa Nacional de Posgrados de Calidad (PNPC) en México. La metodología consistió en un análisis comparativo de la información presentada por el programa relativa a las categorías: estudiantes y resultados y vinculación. El análisis muestra cambios en el ingreso y la graduación de los estudiantes, en la valoración de las competencias y en la eficiencia terminal del programa. La autoevaluación contribuyó a reflexionar sobre la calidad del programa y establecer estrategias de mejora.
