Sumario:Organizations are constantly searching for improvement through policies that boost their strategy, to reach this point, they can aim for certifications in norms, whether to comply with a regulation or own initiative. When defining policies, guidelines and business rules are stablished so that the whole organization is centered to meet the strategic goals and whose contributions are being measured. The aforementioned is related to asset management, which is certifiable by complying with the ISO 50001 requirements, this policy involves all the company or organization levels, from design to disposal which allows to measure the lifetime (life spam) of an asset, its CAPEX and OPEX. Regarding CAPEX, the Project division is the responsible for the designs and the construction, also to commissioning together with operation and maintenance. Which consists in complying with a series of protocols, among which is the delivery of maintenance plans associated with the assets; This last activity in most companies is partially or not carried out. The activities not carried out in the CAPEX commissioning, are assumed by OPEX operation and maintenance, who must select the maintenance strategy, taxonomy and criticality of equipment in most cases with the plant operating, this leads to establishing plans based on manuals of manufacturers, in which in most cases they do not have the necessary information. At this point is where the proposal in this document gains relevance, which is to stablish a methodology to correctly apply different norms for the organization as the asset management ISO 55000:2014 and ISO 14224:2016, the last of which is oriented to the maintenance of solar and wind farms, to improve commissioning and aligning the asset management policy in order to obtain the relevant information before the entrance in operation and management of the power plant (OPEX).
