| Sumario: | This article deals with the concept of infinity in its general form and an analysis about actual infinity and potential infinity is performed. Two demonstrations are performed, the Archimedean property and an inequality by means of mathematical induction. The aim of these two demonstrations is to emphasize on the significance that Greeks’ idea of infinity have until nowadays and how far is this concept from common sense. The idea of actual infinity is examined based on set theory. |
