Resumo:This article describes the development of a computational tool for the modeling and design of different configurations of activated sludge systems for the removal of nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus) in domestic wastewater. This tool consists of several modules through which the user will include the information on the characteristics of the wastewater to be treated and the configuration that allows to advance the modeling of each of the systems included, to obtain the results of each system graphically. and numerical with its geometric dimensioning. This tool allows modeling and designing four types of activated sludge system configuration for the removal of carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, or their combination, including the sedimentation process; providing more convenient design analysis.
