Descripción
Sumario:The sector known as Dunas de Longotoma, located in the V region of Chile, was faced with a conflict due to the authorization (later revoked) of a mining site. In this context, the present study explores the territorial imaginary of boys and girls between eight and ten years of three local rural schools. For this purpose, a theoretical review of concepts such as conflicts of cultural distribution, territory, childhood and territorial imaginaries was made, from the perspective of community environmental psychology and political ecology. Methodologically, the Creative-Expressive Encounter (ECE) strategy was used, based on two techniques: drawing and Gulliver maps. Products that were revisited based on the Content Analysis. The results obtained indicated that children perceive the environmental problems produced by the mining industry and its impact on the territories. This research contributes to consider children for the identification of preconditions and the social consequences of projects with potential environmental impact.
