Descripción
Sumario:Apeiba tibourbou is a forest species, used in restauration of degradated areas. This work evaluated the physiological effects on seeds submitted to salinity stress. The experiment was completely randomized with treatments corresponding to increasing levels of NaCl (0, 25, 50, 100 e 200mM) and four replications of 25 seeds each. The parameters analyzed were germination, first germination count, index of germination speed, length and dried weight matter of the seedlings. The increase of NaCl levels promoted a reduction in the Apeiba tibourbou seeds germinative performance and vigor. These seeds presented  characteristic behavior of halophyte plants, showing tolerance to 25 to 100mM of NaCl.
