Resumo:Introduction: Spastic diplegia or diparesis characterizes the type of Cerebral Palsy (CP) with predominant involvement of lower limbs and locomotor function, with ramps being used as a form of accessibility. Objetive: to characterize the kinematic variables of the lower limbs of a child with asymmetric spastic diparesis and their functional implications by perspective of the International Classification of Function, Disability and Health, Children and Youth (ICF-CY). Methodology: a three-di mensional gait analysis of an asymmetric diparesia child of 10 years and of a child with typical development of 12 years was performed. Results: The linear variables were little influenced by the asymmetrical gait pattern. For angular variables was observed that the asymmetrical pattern hindered the progression of the body during walking; the left lower limb (LLL) in hyperextension of the knee is closer to the typical gait pattern than the right lower limb (RLL) in knee flexion. Conclusion: These characteristics influence the child's mobility capacity, evidenced by the ICF-CY, but that can be mitigated by environmental factors (ramp).
