| Sumario: | The main objective of this research was to propose, through the use of geographic information systems (GIS), to monitor and characterize the geoenvironmental and water conditions of the municipality of Camocim, aiming to elaborate a geoenvironmental zoning, especially the municipal headquarters of Camocim . With reference to the study of the relation society / nature in the understanding of the environmental and socioeconomic dynamics. In the last years, the studied municipality has been configured as a coastal territory that suffers from the intense environmental changes caused by the various socioeconomic activities, with significant environmental impacts. In order to give development to the study, geoenvironmental compartmentalization, geoecology of landscapes, ecodynamics and territory were read, because of the importance of study integrated with the relations of power and legislation that exist in coastal environments. For the study of geoenvironmental compartmentalization, authors such as Souza (2000), Radam Brasil (1981), and Rodriguez e Silva (2002) were used. Several maps were made in differentiated scales, with the objective of analyzing, qualitatively and quantitatively, the changes occurred in the environmental systems. As final products, a set of sectorial and synthesis maps of the municipality are presented, including a proposal for zoning subsystems and environmental features that can subsume effective strategies for the future Master Plan of the Municipality of Camocim. |
