Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this study is to verify if the labels that contain information of environmental preservation influence the choice of university students' consumption. The issue is gaining in importance when there are several fronts led by companies and international organizations that together seek to converge efforts to improve labeling and thus give more safety to producers and buyers. To make the work feasible, we opted for the quantitative method, supported by a structured data collection instrument, applied to university students in the social sciences area. The results showed that products considered "green" have little stimulated young consumers. In addition, they showed few predispositions to change consumption habits and buy products labeled as green. From this study, it is suggested that suppliers, governments and certification bodies mobilize to communicate the value generated in the sustainable chain. It is hoped that the construction of this article will serve as a starting point for the maturing of the subject and may support future discussions on the subject.
