| Sumario: | Health care in the hospital environment requires multidisciplinary teamwork, a fact that demanded the introduction of Dentistry in this work environment. Hospital dentistry aims to provide assistance and care to patients who are in hospital, since the dentist is a professional trained to detect, prevent and take care of oral changes. The insertion of the CD in a hospital environment has been established through resolutions and laws. Therefore, the objective of this work is to present the trajectory of Hospital Dentistry in Brazil, verifying the current situation and showing the importance of this professional in the multidisciplinary team of hospitals. The searches were made in the main databases in the health area: PubMed, Scopus and BVS (Virtual Health Library). There is no limit to the search period for articles, as well as there will be no language restriction. |
